We will also try to do surf-ride some pretty wave-tails during our trips. If you want to, we will find a suitable place to stop and serve some local meal. During the meal we can offer some entertainment such as local tradition folk music, theatre etc. Our local guides will do their best to make you satisfied and making a great adventure for you in this special valley.

Throught the exuberance valley we will pass by several mountain farms we can see up in the hill and maybe you`ll see deer grazing next to the river. The Mørkridsdalen have actually got the bigest deers in Norway.

The trip end peaceful in Skjolden where the river meets the europes longst fjord, the Sognefjord.

Minimun amount of persons:
4 persons are minimum because of the control of the boats. If you are less than four persons, just call us and we will try to arrange it.

Meeting point for rafting:
Outside the main entrance of Fjordstova in Skjolden 10 minutes before start latest.

Transport:
Free transport with car from Skjolden to Hødnevollen/ Mørkrid (appr 8 km)/ or own transport.
We can also transport you from other places. Call us for offers!

Capasity:
18-21 guest per tour (3 boats)

Checkroom/ cloakroom:
Modern checkroom with shower facilities etc. at Fjordstova in Skjolden, included.

Outfit:
All nessesary outfit is included!
We`ve got 3 boats and each boats can carry up to 7-8 persons (incl. guide).
We offer 3- 6,5mm neoprene wetpants and jackets, wetshoes, life jackets, helmets and paddles.

Bring:
Towel for the shower.
On cold days we recommend underwear in wool and thick socks.

Age limit/ requirements/ security:
10 years age limit (with signature from parents) / be able to swim and not toxicated/ used alcohol. Outdoor activities always have a level of risk, and we can never guarantee that accidents not happens. All participants must fill out a statement form before the trip starts. We always prioritize security. F.ex. rafting without helmet is not acceptable by us.
We have also got fist aid kit and other nessesary safetyequipment in each boat. The guides will check that everything is fine before we start the trip on the river.

Trip description:
After all participants have got their outfit on their bodies, we will drive approx 8 km to the end of the road in Mørkridsdalen, if the waterlevel is correct (pict. at top of the right column). Then we place the boats and paddles next to the river and going throught a safety and paddling talk.

The trip starts with some intence rapids the first 3-4 kilometres, after that you can take a breath on a slower river. In this area is possible to take a luchstop. From the luchplace the journey starts slow in 1 kilometer before some funny waves in appr. 2 kilometer. The trip ends in the river mouth in Skjolden in the Sognefjord next to Fjordstova. At the half time of the tour we can serve meal on request.
